The Hybrid
Intelligent Parking Assist
It's estimated that 15% of accidents occur while parking. This available technology helps drivers park using hands-free steering, ultrasonic sensors, a built-in computer and a camera while requiring attention and soft braking by the driver.
Solar Powered Ventilation System
The Solar Powered Ventilation System uses an electric fan to draw outside air
into, through, and out of the cabin once the inside temperature reaches 68°
Fahrenheit. It will lower the cabin temperature to near the outside ambient
temperature to help make the cabin more comfortable when reentering the vehicle.
It must be turned on prior to leaving the vehicle and cannot perform cooling
such as with an air conditioner.
Hybrid Synergy Drive
Hybrid Synergy Drive® converts braking energy and forward motion energy when coasting into electricity. The hybrid system helps lower emissions while raising mpg. The gas engine used with Hybrid Synergy Drive® is more energy efficient, producing higher output than conventional gas engines. Increased displacement decreases the engine rpm during high-speed cruising. Other improvements to the engine include an electric water pump and an exhaust heat recirculation system that uses previously wasted exhaust heat to more quickly warm up the heater and engine.
Advantage
The Prius Plug-in
The Plug-in is engineered for dedicated
electric driving capability that can let you travel up to 62 mph on electric
power alone. The Plug-in is rated to drive up to 11 miles while in EV mode. It also features a quick
three-hour charge time from a standard 120V AC household outlet. If you run out of
electric charge, the vehicle seamlessly shifts into hybrid mode, still giving
you great mpg.
Self-sustaining amusement park?
What if we used Hybrid Synergy Drive® to create the world's first self-sustaining amusement park?
Touch Tracer Display
The Touch Tracer Display features touch sensors on the steering wheel buttons that are designed to reduce driver eye movement for better concentration on the road. When the driver touches any of the audio controls or trip display, recirculation or temperature buttons located on the steering wheel, a duplicate image is displayed on the instrument panel directly in front of the driver.
