The 2012 Sienna comes in five trim levels - Base, LE, SE, XLE and Limited. The Base and Limited trims have seating for seven passengers and the SE trim seats eight. The LE and XLE offer a choice of seven or eight seats. All trims have standard front-wheel-drive. All-wheel-drive is an option for LE, XLE, and Limited trims.
The Base and LE trims have a standard 2.7-liter inline-4 engine that produces 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque and an optional 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates 266 hp and 245 lb-ft of torque. The 3.5-liter engine is standard on the SE, XLE, and Limited trims. All trims have a six-speed automatic transmission.
The front-wheel-drive Sienna with the inline-4 engine has an estimated EPA fuel economy rating of 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. The front-wheel-drive Sienna with a V6 engine is rated at an estimated 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. All-wheel-drive reduces the fuel rating slightly to an estimated 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.
